Currently, we are seeking a Cobol Developer who’s eager to continuing to evolve, thrives on challenges, and is ready to embark in a new opportunity.

💼 Responsabilities:

• Develop, maintain, and optimize server-side logic and APIs for banking solutions;
• Ensure high performance and responsiveness of applications;
• Collaborate with front-end developers, project managers, and other stakeholders to design and implement technical solutions;
• Write reusable, testable, and efficient code following best practices;
• Manage database schemas, queries, and integrations to support application needs;
• Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to address and mitigate these issues;
• Ensure the security and data protection of applications and systems;
• Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to improve team output.

👨‍💻 Requirements:

• +3 years of experience as a Cobol Developer;
• Expertise in modern backend technologies and frameworks;
• Strong understanding of API design and integration;
• Proficiency in languages like Java, Python, or Node.js;
• Strong database knowledge, including SQL and NoSQL databases;
• Familiarity with microservices architecture and RESTful APIs;
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud);
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (e.g., Git);
• Ability to work independently and in collaborative team settings;
• Understanding Agile methodologies;
• Effective communication and collaboration skills;
• Fluent level of English;
• Living in Lisbon (Hybrid role).
