🚀 What is this challenge about

• Maintain an up-to-date strategy for the vulnerability management process, ensuring a clear view of risks and the effectiveness of mitigations;
• Conduct vulnerability assessments on systems, networks, and applications to identify potential security weaknesses;
• Analyze and interpret the results of vulnerability scans or penetration test reports to determine the severity and potential impact of identified vulnerabilities;
• Validate whether vulnerabilities are effectively exploitable, demonstrating this when necessary through exploitation, even if it requires the creation of custom code or mechanisms;
• Prioritize vulnerabilities based on their severity and potential impact on the organization’s operations, assets, and information;
• Ensure that remediation plans are in place with the involved teams to address the identified vulnerabilities;
• Provide guidance to the involved teams to ensure the timely and effective resolution of vulnerabilities;
• Stay up-to-date with the latest security threats and trends;
• Document vulnerabilities and remediation activities to maintain an accurate, centralized, and comprehensive record of the organization’s security posture;
• Monitor and report on overall vulnerability indicators for the organization.

🛠 What we are looking for

• +5 years of experience in IT area;
• Open to work hybrid 1 and 2 days per week;
• Experience in vulnerability assessment and risk management;
• Proficiency with tools like Nessus, Qualys, OpenVAS;
• Familiarity with SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar);
• Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux systems;
• Ability to create technical reports;
• Knowledge of frameworks like NIST;
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with IT and development teams.
