Junior Site Reliability Engineer

We are looking for a Site Reliability Engineer to work in Lisbon who’s eager to embark on an exciting new opportunity!   This is a flexible hybrid position with 1 office day per week.

What is this challenge about

• Provide support to both technical and business teams, ensuring effective communication between stakeholders.
• Collect and analyze information to troubleshoot and resolve integration issues across applications.
• Collaborate closely with internal and external teams to deliver efficient solutions.
• Continuously monitor squad systems to ensure stability and performance.
• Handle incidents promptly and perform in-depth root cause analyses to avoid recurrence.
• Manage multiple issues simultaneously, setting and aligning priorities with the team.
• Develop a solid understanding of each system’s functionality to better assess and prioritize problems.
• Participate in on-call rotations, ensuring availability for critical system support.

What we are looking for

• Over 2 years of experience in Application Support and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE).
• Hands-on experience with technologies such as AWS, ELK Stack, Prometheus, and Grafana.
• Familiar with collaborative tools including Jira, Confluence, and GitLab.
• Basic coding knowledge in .NET Core and Python (considered a plus).
• Proactive in validating logs and metrics to identify potential issues before they escalate.
• Continuously suggests improvements to monitoring systems, alerts, and operational tools.
• Excellent communication skills, able to adapt language and explanations for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience or knowledge in the retail sector is a plus.
• Available for on-call rotations.
