What is this challenge about:

• Leading the development and execution of test automation frameworks for functional and non-functional testing;
• Driving the software quality assurance lifecycle within the Agile process;
• Establishing and coordinating test strategies with the development/product teams;
• Designing and implementing test plans and test cases;
• Mentoring and instructing QA team members, helping them make decisions and solve problems; Coaching the team on QA testing knowledge, testing techniques, automation, QA process, CI/CD etc;
• Developing and executing automated UI and functional tests on real devices and emulators;
• Specifying quality requirements in order to achieve a satisfactory quality level and supporting the team in achieving the project goals;
• Defining and exploring test techniques and testing tools to support the team in achieving the best product quality;
• Providing quality reports and feedback to the team regularly;
• Providing expert guidance to build upon quality assurance/test standards in order to achieve business benefits for all stakeholder groups and focusing on a continuous improvement process to sustain customer satisfaction;
• Managing meetings, setting goals, providing feedback on testing tasks, and delegating testing responsibilities;
• Taking initiative in solving complex technical problems and recommending original solutions and design approaches to platform requirements, making decisions between competing priorities.

What we are looking for:

• Reside in Portugal;
• Minimum 10 years of experience in QA Engineering;
• Previous experience working with and leading large projects;
• Extensive experience in IT quality programs and practices;
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills;
• Strong leadership and communication abilities – ability to demonstrate and communicate the value proposition and decisions to stakeholders;
• Experience in defining & implementing Test Automation strategies in large IT organizations, ideally working in an Agile framework, operating a CI/CD DevOps approach;
• Thorough understanding of TDD and BDD techniques including Gerkin, Cucumber syntax;
• Demonstrable experience of defining Non-Functional Requirements and developing performance testing automation frameworks;
• Previous experience with Playwright, Jest, Insomnia, Postman, Selenium, JMeter, Jenkins, Git, and Confluence;
• Previous experience with Cypress is a plus;
• Flexibility and ability to travel and work on client sites;
• Experience in Fintech projects is a must;
• Fluency in English.
